Bro Ed,

I think bro mad_man was referring to the mat price. Very Happy

Bro Dr Stein,

You might want to call Ah Chong, 94513297. He will deliver it to you. Smile

Post by NiteTime Wed 01 Feb 2012, 9:22 pm

Hi to all freed owner,

I am considering Honda freed for my next car hence need some honest feedback and advise from the owner here….

I do understand that a 7 seater with an 1.5 litre engine is going to face some under power issue but how bad issit…when fully load with 6 adult???

Is the maintenance … replacement parts costly or difficult to source??

Any reliable PI to intro ??

hope i am not asking too much my first posting...

Hola bro nitetime,
Welcome onboard cheers

To answer your questions, i try to describe it in words...

First of all straight to the point, we are genuine enough to say that we love our ride (and that's for sure). So, all our feedback and comments are certainly indeed in favour of this car.

Underpower? Do you need fancy sports car or spacious family budget car?
Please note, the word "budget" does not imply to those cheapo products, but it's HONDA product that suits for your pockets and $$$ cheers

This lovely car is suitable for those who need space and smooth mobility, for me underpower is out of question as the CVT for the smooth transmission and vtec engine is powerful enough to run and cater the passengers (with basis 7 or 8 seaters that you can squeeze as many as you like).

We never worried about the maintenance so far...
About the price of maintenance, i would say it's within the "normal" range as per car Honda standard in Singapore, though having car in singapore is indeed very expensive.

PI to recommend, well its very subjective, it's you who should do the homework comparing one package with another... We can only recommend to consider main check points before you take the resale car from the PI (e.g: milleage, body paint, service records etc)

I understand your concerns prior choosing the various makes and models, but i can only suggest you and your loved ones to join us on the next meetup (on our monthly regular meetup) to know better (if not fall in love deeply) about this car.

Wishing you a joyful hunting for this lovely ride.
In case you need us to accompany you as surveyor, please do not hesitate to contact us, guarantee it will be free of charge and we love to see the members of this lovely forum helping each other.

Keep us update in case you have found one.

Cheers

Post by NiteTime Thu 02 Feb 2012, 7:58 pm

Thanks for the advise....bro sevenseaters and all

as i have been surfing through sgcarmart and realize that only fugen automobile(PI) is selling the honda freed...at $106K(new)...and a +/- 3 year freed cost around $77K to $83K....car price havent confirm with dealer yet...

new car every months much higher commitment but less worry about maintenance issue as cover by warranty & resale car less commitment but unsure if previous ower really taken good care of the maintenance..
have a friend who bought resale and car start to give problem 6 months down the road...

as i hope that this car can service me and my family for 7 to 8 year hence i have to make my choice carefully...headche!! No No

To bro nitetime, wish you all the success in your hunt for a suitable car for your family.

whether you do get a FREED or otherwise is not impt in being a HFSG member.

you are still cordially invited to join us in meetups and even test drive our rides to see whether it suits you.

most imptly buy within budget, not to be a slave to your car ...

but to let your car serve you well!

just as our FREEDs have served us!!!
