Looking to buy a freed
Hey guys! I'm new here.
Been looking around car marts and self-poisoning myself. Hopefully, I'll get to buy a freed.
Any of u guys got any tips for me?
Wondering
How's the maintenance like for this car? I've also got a nagging question. Cause I know KM doesn't bring in this model anymore, so if need parts to repair, where should I go to? Any stockist?
Wondering if it's possible to service in jb?

Re: Looking to buy a freed
Welcome on board bro Tekster
Wishing you a great experience and smooth hunting on this lovely car!
For general tips buying car i will send on separate reply as my checklist is at home.
For maintenance, don't worry too much, as i believe most of the workshop here in Singapore has their own spare parts distribution channels.
Simply put your queries to the said PI/reseller whether it is remain under warranty, or at least which particular workshop they are using with.
- If you buy from PI that has KM warranty, guarantee you will pay premium price for the car and even if the warranty is no longer valid, you can still send your car to KM workshop.
- If you buy from PI that has PI warranty, make sure you have the previous maintenance records, which particular workshop they used or they can refer to.
Service in JB? not really sure... i personally stay to my workshop as per my PI warranty, and when the warranty is over, i would still stay with SG workshop...
About the spareparts availability, if come to the worst, i can order from Indonesia as Freed manufacturer is located in Karawang, Indonesia
So far as i understand from those who have their major services done earlier, there were no difficulties on the spares.
last but not least, please keep us updated on your Freed hunting... and do not hesitate to join our regular monthly meet up (although you have not secure it yet)... you shall find and learn many things about this lovely car
cheers

I managed bought airfilter and aircon filter from Jakarta when i was there. Certainly it's cheaper than in Singapore.
Whereas Oil filter as standard shape (same like honda jazz), no need to worries, it is ready stock island wide.
but if for the other major spare parts, never come accross to my experience... as my car milleage can be considered as "half virgin" +/- 25,000 km as of today.
If you mean the spares for those type wear and tear, i think it should be always ready stock in Singapore
Furthermore, there are numbers of local distributors specialized in Honda Spare Parts.
FYI, my ride is from PI (Jia Leong) and the warranty workshop is AOTO in Toh Guan area.
If it is not because of the warranty from PI, i would certainly see other workshop
Anyway, not to underestimate other Honda/makes/models, it is depend and very subjective on one's preferences when choosing car they love.
For me, as i opted the main factors on budget and seat/space capacity, i choose this lovely car

Anyway back to our bro tekster, if you keen to have this happen, do not hesitate to contact us...

Bro Ed,
I think bro mad_man was referring to the mat price.
Bro Dr Stein,
You might want to call Ah Chong, 94513297. He will deliver it to you.
It is stick using double sided tape.
Cheers
