BTW, I called my PI (hua yang) yesterday. they told me, that if my freed is included in the recall, the LTA will send a letter to me and to them (PI). and then, we will set an schedule to fix in their shop.

Dear all,

i called my sales guy and happy enough to know that he is responsive about the news. The sales guy actually had no longer working with the PI, but he is willing to help me to find out some sort of solution/clarification.

However, as the it is newly fresh from the oven, he would get back to me.

Thanks to bro Ed, who highlighted to me to ask the PI, actually there is no harm you ask your own PI. I would encourage other bros/sista to do the same with your own respective PI.

While waiting the update, please do come to our meet up tomorrow afternoon, see the meet-up topic. Our president will give technical "enlightment" on it.

Recall due to:

[Surface pressure due to incorrect setting of the rocker arm and the retainer portion of the lost motion slippers are using variable valve timing mechanism, high resistance to sliding of the retainer not done enough lubrication when idling after engine start may be. Therefore, the movement laterally spring to such causes noise to broken beyond the fatigue limit repeated interference with the spring holders, the worst case, nipping the camshaft spring was broken, the engine stops It may not be restarted.]

Nothing we can do now, just wait for the notice letter from LTA.

Today's papers (ST) says 48 Freeds from KM and 992 from PIs.

1. PI still exist, they will arrange the matter
2. PI already RIP, LTA will handle the matter
3. PI still exist, but they pretend don't know what to do

Honda recall to affect over 3,000 cars here



MORE than 3,000 Honda cars in Singapore will be affected by a global safety recall to fix flaws that may lead to their engines stalling.
The Land Transport Authority said the cohort comprises 1,866 cars sold by authorised Honda agent Kah Motor and 1,154 vehicles brought in by parallel importers.
Kah Motor's cars are City (995 units), Jazz (823) and Freed (48); the parallel importers' cars are Fit (162 units) and Freed (992).
Nearly 700,000 Honda cars are being recalled worldwide.
Kah Motor product manager Vincent Ng said: 'Once the parts arrive, we will contact the owners to bring in their cars for replacement of those parts.'
Each job will take about three hours.
