I am not Stupid...
aha, if you are reading this, then i have caught hold of your attention.
if you had been following HFSG, you must had read some of my chronicles i started...
the thread will always be titled "My FREED... My xxxx"...
so for this boring Monday (recovering from the long weekend!)...
i decided to start something new!!!
"I am not Stupid" has no relation to the local production by Jack Neo...
this actually refers to my own DIY!!! yup if i can do it so can you!
and it proved that i am not Stupid(aptly titled)!!!
so lets begin....
The very First "I am not Stupid" segment will be the LED Third Brake Light that i had installed!
The product! (seller: bro Sleepies)
before i continue with the install process, pls take note there is only 1 tool needed.
The one & only impt tool... wrench Size 10
A packet of tissues...
After removing the cover (by the cover sides' secured by a slot)
Followed by the oem bulb... you can see the 2 nuts that secure the case, and this is where the wrench comes in!
Remove the 2 nuts, and pluck out the case. then you remove the red cover (not in use), and install the leds panel.
Now just rewind and place everything back! As you can see now to connect the wires and socket.
I actually used back the bulb as a a stopper to secure the wires, but the bulb got too hot! simple solution - use Blu Tac!
Now the testing part... Viola! it worked!
Swee swee Blue Leds!
Alright now is the post mortem of the DIY , the easiest part of the install was.... buying the product!
"Plug n Play" phrase very over rated... so dun believe everything you see or hear!
bro Zach told me only bout 20 mins needed... but i took like 2hrs!
actually the time wasted was due to getting the right size wrench... bloody size 10!
went to my hardware shop thrice in the morning, was still their first and only customer!
but thanks to bro zach for the good advice of using Blu Tac (he also recommend a decent tool box from Mustafa)!
oh ya, now this is where the tissues come in... to wipe dry the sweat of hard labour!
(why i no use towel? cos my ride dun have! but why need 250 sheets? ah this you go figure!)
and the feeling of seeing the lights? orgasmic.... (but not better than sxx!!!)
To conclude... HFSG has all these posts n pics is to empower our fellow members to try it out yourselves.
of course you can just pay and get it done... but sometimes its also good to give it a go.
(only your own hands should be caressing your darling?!!!)
like i always tell myself... if you never try, you will never know!
at worst if you fail, you can contact me...
and i can refer you to a specialist!!!
PS: eh the testing part also not easy if you are a lone ranger...
i had to use my vacuum and boxes to add pressure on the brakes!

Re: I am not Stupid...
Bro Ed,
I also going to buy this LED BRAKE LIGHT... I think with my "wisdom" I will spend more time den you... wish me lucky...
Maybe at the end of the day... I need my lovely wife to help me
FYI, I actually make my wife involve in some of my deco (stickers) for my ride... e.g. the red lining I recently add on my bonnet was done by my wife and my MUGEN sun shade on my windscreen was also done by my wife (she give the command and I do it).
I really must admit lady EQ is usually better than man (Maybe this only apply to me!!! I admit my EQ is rather low)
