The child safety lock
recently bro bobby had a problem with his sliding door not able to open from the inside.
luckily it was not damage but just that the child safety lock had been activated.
so let me share with you if you have no idea of this safety feature in your FREED!!!
this is the latch to activate the child safety lock.
upon activation, the sliding cannot be open from inside but only from outside.
HFSG members please be advised that this is strictly a safety device to prevent your kids from opening the door when in the car.
It is not meant to facilitate the abduction of a fellow human being or animal.
PS: if you are going to try OBD, maybe can use it!!!

Re: The child safety lock
thks for sharing ... I have a scenario lately to share as well, to note ... same experienced lately as bro bobby, sliding door fail to open after family happily board the ride, family ended up have to get down from the other side while i troubleshoot, took me a little while to isolate by elimination after going through all known means, finally manage to catch a glimpse that the 2nd roll seat belt by the sliding door was pinched at the bottom side of the door, sweat ... this causes the door to literally be jammed, ended up have to try my luck to forcefully pulled open the door ... n i manage, leaving pinched mark on the seat belt buckle & slgiht scratches on innerside of door ... lessons learnt is to be caution not to have any 'foreign object' get between sliding door (on top of that freed has vacuum suction mechanism), it may cause door jammed ...
cheers,
