Petrol consume very fast.. as you are driving at 2 to 3 gear, rpm 4500... Very useful when you need to climb up hill at a faster speed....eg Genting...

Down and even road 'D' mode. Up slope, just press 'S' mode. Press again when even road... U ramp up genting like driving a sport car. But beware curve and down slope.

bro nick, a few members had advised that going down slope in "D" mode no prob... Neutral

but wont the brakes overheat? pale

since tried and tested by many FREEDers i think "D"mode for down slope should be safe!

I never use D mode when descending. U need engine brake 2 help reduce speed. Else easily wear or finished yr brake. Anyway u need to slow down so wats e need 2 engage D mode????? I use L mode when climbing up hill cos u need higher torque to overcome e steep slope. L mode also when down hill cos engine brake helps to slow vehicle. Hope tis helps....

"s" mean Over Drive Function.
The "s" button also act as 3rd Gear. Eg, When travel at 100km, u can actually press at "s" button to drop down 3rd gear to over take other car.
Or, act as engine break, Eg, when u at high speed u see a red light in front. U want stop, U can press the "s" button 1st to slow down a bit. (Your break pad will not be so siong)

Never tried before using s mode for helping the breaking... scratch
But, i would assume, press s button to lower the gear...

For me personally, better still drive safe, no speeding, and automatically less force on the brake when i need to reduce the speed...
High speed = more things to response
Low speed = less things to response

Again, i seldom use this s mode... Sayang2 my gearbox and engine...
I use it when i'm about to overtake (only).
