16inch rim!

Need to clarify with some experts here....wanted to changed my tyre 16 inch rim..using 205/55/16 which michelin pilot sport3 at $145 each.
But was told dat it will bua the fender...was advise to install 205/50/16...and the bad news is..its cost $190 each..and out of ny budget.
So...sad and went home with my half bald tyre.
Pls advise..if anyone have install 205/55/16 on their ride..

Base on 205/50/16
Kim Hoe Michelin Pilot Sport 3/$160...not sure made from where....dats the cheapest
Kim Hoe Autobay Yokohama Advan Db/$150 made in japan
Soh Brothers Continental Premium Contact 2/$150 made in germany
Base on 205/50/16

Damn....cannot get Michelin out my my mind.....review was very good for wet and dry..

I tested on 205/55/16. It hit my fender when going up multi storey carpark. Immediately go back tyre shop and they change to 205/50/16. no more problem.

Issit the rear or the front rim ?i tried full turn ...up and down multistorey no prob...mine on stock suspension

Went down kim hoe ubi...talk to alex..205/50/16 how much?
$160..ok on...so fo kopitiam ...drink coffee and smoke..
Came back...suddenly see...205/55/16...aiyoh...alex...how?wait buaw my fender how?
Dun worry...anything...come back i"ll change back for u...
Until today...(4days liow.)up and down multistorey carpark..full left and right turn...also nuthin happen...i also dunno y...
1 reason=maybe im lucky
2 reason=maybe got the right offset rim
The bad part is.....Alltyre at machperson selling 205/55/16 is only $145
Cheers...so i believe the cheapest is at ALTC macpherson which is$145(but some bros here encounter hit their fender using 205/55/16 instead of 205/50/16 which cost $190-$230 depends on the shop...must also see made from where..
